Start a fire in the fireplace. Put on your snuggie. Cuddle up with a loved one. That’s right, it’s winter time here in San Diego. Brrrrrrrrrrr. Need some beer recommendations to combat that chilly 50 degree cold? You’ve come to the right place, we picked out a few just for you. The following winter release beers are the strong, sometimes dark cure for the winter time blues.
Local Selections
Alesmith Yulesmith – An American Red Ale loaded with hops and caramel malt.
Karl Strauss To The 9’s – An Imperial IPA loaded with pine and citrus flavors.
Lost Abbey The Gift of the Magi – A Belgian Strong Pale Ale brewed with frankincense & myrrh.
Port Santa’s Little Helper – A black, thick Russian Imperial Stout.
Stone Double Bastard Ale – A big aggressive American Strong Ale.

Dupont Avec Les Bons Voeux – A nice Saison with a little bit of funk and tartness.
Fantome Noel – A spicy, sweet, fruity Saison.
Mikkeller Santa’s Little Helper – A Belgian Strong Dark Ale brewed with spices and cocoa powder.
Nøgne Ø Winter Ale – A dark roasty English Porter.
St. Feuillien Cuvee de Noel – A Belgian Strong Dark Ale with flavors of fruits and spices.

Thanks for the comment Eric. I had Delirium Noel on my original draft but I felt it was overloaded with Belgian Strong Dark Ales so I dropped it. I do love the pink elephants!
